Crafted from a genuine Blue Morpho butterfly wing, each pendant is a unique piece of wearable art created by nature and preserved by hand.
The Blue Morpho is one of the largest butterfly species in the world, with wings spanning up to 8 inches. Famous for its brilliant iridescent blue coloration, it is often considered one of the most breathtaking butterflies on Earth. The most common question I hear when someone sees one in person is:
“Is that a real butterfly wing?”
The answer is yes.
While the upper side of the wing displays the vibrant blue that Blue Morphos are known for, the underside tells a different story. Earthy browns and eye-like markings help camouflage the butterfly from predators when its wings are closed, showcasing nature’s incredible balance of beauty and survival.
Handmade With Care
Each wing is carefully preserved between two pieces of glass that I hand-cut and shape to fit the individual wing. The glass is then finished with lead-free silver solder, creating a durable keepsake that protects the wing while allowing its natural beauty to shine through.
No molds, templates, or mass production are used. Every pendant is made by hand and every wing is naturally unique, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
Ethically Sourced
All butterfly wings are ethically sourced from butterfly sanctuaries after the butterflies have completed their natural life cycle.
These sanctuaries support conservation efforts and sustainable breeding programs, allowing these remarkable creatures to be appreciated long after their journey has ended.
No butterflies are harmed in the creation of this jewelry.
